Thursday's Through The Lense

...one day late.

Just as I was getting ready to post this I found out that my parents are having to put down my cat. He's gotten old and can't walk that well and is in too much pain and suffering to continue. I found Safari the summer of 1999 when he was just about 4-5 weeks old (he still had his blue eyes). We washed him, got his shots, and I took on weaning him.

I moved out three months after finding him to go to Bible School. And I never really moved back in. Sure I was there for weekends and such, but he's been my parents cat more than mine since I moved. While it's hard for me, it's even harder for them.

All his kitten pictures were taken with film and are at my parents, but I've got a few of him as an adult.

In honor of Mr. Safari:

(sleeping on my turtle...which soon became his)

(playing...see that look in his eye...he's out for blood)

(Going after his ribbon)

(He never really did master drinking from a regular dish)

(He LOVED "hiding" under the tree")

RIP Mr. Safari...you were the best we'd had. You were Dad's oddball cat with personality, Mom's Baby Kitty, and my Mr. Safari. You were greatly loved and you will be greatly missed.
