Weekly Weigh In - Week 30

So it's been 30 weeks. I'm more than half way through the year. And I don't really feel like the results are there that I wanted to be there. But I'm going to keep going!

Today's Weigh in (because I missed it yesterday):  233.1
Difference from last week:  -1.4

WOOHOO for a loss this week! I don't really know what I did to make that loss happen. But I'm glad it did.

I think, no, I know that I need to do something different. I need to have more healthy foods in the house. And I need to work out more.

But right now, healthy food is too expensive for a couple only having one income.

And I have no motivation to work out lately.

Hopefully the mindset will change when I get a job. I'll feel like I'm contributing more and will be able to focus more on what I want to do and get done.

So, happy Tuesday, y'all. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Oh, and speaking of the job, I hope to have some good news on that front before the end of the week!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 29

Despite two work outs this week, I gained a little.

Today's weigh in:  234.5
Difference:  +.06

It's not a big change, but it's a gain. And I'm not happy with gains.

I need to do something a little more drastic to get things going again.

This is going to be short. I don't have much else to talk about the weight loss today.

Happy Monday, y'all!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 28

I have been doing this for 28 weeks. There have been many ups and downs...sometimes for ups then downs. And when I say ups I mean gains...bad ups, not good ups.

Thankfully, this past week was a down. (Again, for today's blog post, downs are good...ups are bad).

This morning's weigh in:  233.9
Difference from last week:  -1.1

I have no idea what worked for me and what didn't. I only logged my food two full days. Mr S and I had a birthday party on Saturday where there was A TON of Philipino food...and I ate quite a bit of it. We were at the in-laws yesterday for BBQ, in honor of Mr S birthday, where, again, I ate a lot of food...especially my father-in-law's potato salad. OH. MY. GOODNESS! Is that stuff ever delish!! (and it's the only potato salad I go back for seconds, thirds, etc., for) And I only worked out one day last week.

So, again, no idea what worked to lose that pound.

But this week will be different. I'm going to track my food. I'm going to try to get in more than one work out this week. And I'm also going to try to mix up my work out. I usually do cardio - Elliptical and stationary bike. I want to get in some strength training, too, and get my flab toned up some.

So here's to all of us on this constant journey to get healthy and lose weight! Keep up the good work, dolls!

And may all your weight loss dreams come true!!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 26

It has been a little insane since my last weigh-in post two weeks ago. There were two days at Disneyland Resort followed by a week of house/dog sitting at my in-laws. Round it all out with not having any food in the house that would make this journey successful.

Despite it all, I'm really surprised at my results.

Today's Weight:  233.3
Difference from last weigh in:  +0.1

I can handle that, considering my eating habits the last week and a half.

I'm ready to get back on the wagon, though. Groceries have been bought. Meals have been planned.

Let's do this!!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 24

24 weeks! It doesn't seem like it's been that long. I'm almost half way through the year! And, unfortunately, I'm not where I thought I would be by the time I got here.

Today's weight:  233.2
Difference from last week:  +.06
Total since 12/31/2012:  -16.5

This week I kept to my plan. I actually got three days of exercise in! WOOHOO!
Monday:  20 minutes Dance Central on the Xbox Kinect
Wednesday:  Walking around for about an hour at a very slow place (translate shopping)
Friday:  I ventured to the gym here at the complex for some mechanical stuff - stationary bike and elliptical. I was there for about 30 minutes actually on equipment.

Bonus day: Sunday in the in-laws pool playing with little bro (who isn't so little anymore) and little sis.

I know, shopping really isn't a work out. And to you, it may not be. But I sit on Bootay ALL.WEEK. If I'm up walking around for longer than an hour, even if it's a slow stroll through the aisle of Target, I'm going to count it. Now if I'm only there for 10 minutes, it doesn't count to me. I do more sitting in the car to get there than I did actually walking around. But I'll count anything over a half hour. Especially if I'm walking at the Mall or Disneyland cause I'm usually at a faster pace there than anywhere else.

I did pretty okay with my points, too. I went over on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. But I think having the exercise points helped. I have it set to pull from those before it pulls my extra points for the week. I also drank a lot of water. More than usual. It was actually a little annoying cause I'm not much of a water drinker. But it was good, too.

This week I want to keep up what I've been doing. Mr S is gone still, so I need to find something to keep me occupied. And why not take myself to the gym more. I'm pretty sure I get more activity points there than I do walking around the mall for an hour.

Besides, I actually feel less hungry and more stasfied when I've worked out. That's kind of a good thing, right?

Happy Monday, y'all. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Weekly Weigh in - Week 23

I am so excited!! All that weight I gained during my vacation...I lost it! And the weight I gained the week before (the week that ended with me at my parents for three days)...I lost that too!!

Today's Weigh in:  232.6
Difference from last week:  -4.5
Total lost since 12/31:  17.1

With this loss comes a change in daily points. My allotment for each day has dropped a point. I'm not working with 36 points a day. This is probably the hardest part of losing. It usually takes me a week to adjust, which also means a bit of a gain. But I've got fruit in the fridge that I'll be using for snacks, instead of other stuff. And I'll be making a grocery trip today or tomorrow to restock for the rest of the week.

And, starting this afternoon after work, I'm officially declaring to you that I'm back on the exercise wagon! There...it's out there...no you get to hold me accountable. I'll know that each week you'll be reading my report to see what I've done. Feel free, in future weeks, to tell me when you don't see anything about what exercises I did the previous week! I need that accountability.

My plan is to utilize the wonderful work-out games we bought for the Xbox Kinect. I also have a Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (I've done this before for a few days...killer workout!). I would also like to make my way to the apartment gym once or twice to get on either the elliptical or treadmill and the stationary bike.

All of this will help adjust to my new daily points balance!

I'm just so thrilled! I love to see the weight come off. And last week was a bit of a blah week, so that makes me feel even better about it!

Well, back to work for me. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 22 (?)

I have lost track of what week I am on. When I posted on the 21st it was week 20 and this is two weeks later, so I'm going with week 22.

Yesterday's weigh in:  237.1
Change since two weeks ago:  +1.4

I am totally okay with this gain!

I'm okay with it for these reasons:
* I didn't track after two days the week of May 20th.
* I spent Friday evening through Monday morning (May 24-27) with my family. That equals Momma's cooking, a meal or two out, no exercise, and snacks.
* I was on vacation in the south last week. THAT equals LOTS of fried foods, no exercise, and LOTS of meals out.

After all that, I only gained about a pound and a half...Thank you, Lord!!

But, I am back on the "wagon" this week. Technically, I should be down more than 20 pounds from when I started this journey. And I want to continue it, since I'm paying for it, and to keep going on my journey to get healthy and lose weight.

So my goals this week are as follows:
1. Back on track with tracking food
2. Exercise - I've got plenty of "nothing" time with the hubby gone for three weeks. NO EXCUSES!!
3. Drink more water!
4. Track. My. Food! (Did I mention that already?)

One thing that has been a slacker area for me the past three weeks is keeping the accurate record of what I'm eating. I think if I don't log it I'm not responsible for it. But in reality, if it's in my belly, it's my responsibility to own up to eating it. That is why that has two spots on my goal list for the week.

As always, thank you for tagging along in this journey with me.

Weekly weigh in - week 20

I didn't do this yesterday. Not for lack of wanting to, but it just didn't happen due to my schedule.

Monday's weight: 235.7

Difference:  +2.something (I don't remember)

I did none of my goals last week. The only good things I did we're salads a couple days for lunch and two work outs. But halfway through the week I quit recording my food, for the most part. I did no food logs the weekend. In my defense, Mr. S and I were celebrating my birthday a weekend early because of our travel schedules (more on that in another post). So I was expecting a gain.

And I find myself slipping into the same thing again this week. I'm on the road again. This time is not good. I have no excuse till the weekend...my birthday weekend I'll be spending with my parents. Nothing throws off a weigh loss like momma's home cookin!

I'm not really going to set goals for this week. I would like to maintain, that's the main/biggest. I do need to get a couple workouts in, if possible. And drink more water.

To top it all off in the struggle this week, my period is due in a day or two. Hooray for water gain!

But, all in all, I feel good! And I've had people that know me comment that I look like I've lost weight...which is always a good thing!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 19

I really can't believe it's been 19 weeks since I started this journey. Part of me feels like I should be further along...and I probably should be. But I also know that weightloss isn't just a down hill journey. There will be some ups along the way (with regards to weight, not emotions).

*Epiphany - for every down you have in weight, you have an up in emotions. And for every up in weight you have a down in emotions. I'm sure there is some kind of "scientific" theory here that can be related, but it's too early and I haven't had enough coffee yet.  :)

On to the stats:

Today's Weight:  232.7
Difference:  -1.2
Total Lost To Date:  17 pounds.

I know this probably would be less if not for yesterday. We celebrated mother's day with my in-laws. And there were chips and dip. Chips and dip are probably my biggest weakness. I could, literally, sit around all day with a bag of chips and a container of Dean's Ranch Dip and be happier than a hog in slop (Southern euphanism). However, those binges are what got me where I am today. Unfortunately that means I have very little restraint with regards to chips and dip on the table. I tried to be good yesterday, and I did have some success...I didn't eat as many as I normally would. But, also unfortunately, there weren't any healthy alternatives out to pull my taste buds away (like fruit). Had I know that going in, I may have had Mr S stop for a fruit platter to "contribute" to the day.

And that leads me to today. Once again I find myself in an airport bound for someplace other than home. I have a lot of driving ahead of me today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Which means munchies. So one of my goals this week is to find healthy alternatives to satisfy my munchie cravings when I drive.

I also brought my work out clothes. That means another goal will be attempting to get some consistency with the work outs this week. At least getting more than one in.

And, as always on these trips, making wise food choices.

Goals:
1.  Healthy, filling snacks while driving
2.  Work out at least 2-3 times this week
3.  Meal/restaurant planning for better food.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Let's make this an amazing week!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 18 (You win some, you lose some)

This week was not a good week for me! I struggled with food. And I didn't record ANYTHING most of the week.

Today's Weigh In:  333.9
Difference since last week:  +2

What didn't work for me was not keeping track of what I ate all week. Had I done that, I probably wouldn't have eaten some of the things I did...like the "hostess" chocolate cupcakes on Monday and Wednesday (one on each day - probably worth about 10 points each, but not sure), or the bag of Smart Food White Cheddar Popcorn I consumed over the week. See...just not a good week.

And this week...we have no food in the house! I have some money before payday on Friday. I'll be getting a few things, but not much. So it should be interesting to see how it pans out this week.

Then I'm gone for almost two and a half weeks straight! Tack on to the end of that by birthday. It's kind of a busy month around here.

I need to work on staying focused on my goal. I should already be past the 20 pound mark by now. And I'm annoyed with myself for not doing any better at keeping up with things so that I could be.

But I can do this. And I will do this! I'm tired of being unhealthy. This is a change that I need to make and I need to focus.

And I need to WORK OUT! I really think if I could just get on the treadmill or the bike or the elliptical a few days a week (at least 30 minutes each/combined), I wouldn't be holding steady at the 15 pounds lost mark. I think a 3-day a week work out would really go a long ways in helping me get healthy and get the weight off. And it would help add a good habit to my life!

So my goals this week:
1.  FOOD!
2.  WORK OUT!
3.  WATER - drink more!

Found this website (where the two above pictures are from). I'll probably be using them more in my future posts...they have some great stuff!!

It's a new week...Make the best of it! No looking back...only looking forward!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 17

I HAVE FINALLY BROKEN THE 16 POUND MARK!!!

You have no idea how totally stoked I am for this accomplishment! I feel like I've been hovering between 233 and 234 for WEEKS. Okay, so it's really only been 2 weeks, maybe 3...but it has felt like FOREVER!

This morning's weigh in:  231.9

Differnce from last week:  -3.1

Total weight lost since 12/31/2012:  17.8

So...I had to go back through my weight tracking to see what I've lost, total. And I have been bouncing from 135 to 133 for about seven weeks. I knew I wasn't going crazy!

Anyway...

Once again, I'm heading out of town again. That means that, once again, one of my weekly goals will be keeping an eye on what I eat and making better choices when I eat out. I'll be in three different hotels this week, so it'll be a little harder to shop. But I can shop at lunch instead of eating out. We'll see how it goes.

I also need to work on the exercise. Surprisingly, I didn't do ANY this past week. So that needs to change. I packed my stuff to work out this week, so I'm hoping I'm not too worn out at the end of the day to get in some time on the treadmill.

Those are my goals for the week.

Happy Monday! And thanks for joining me on this journey!

Weekly Weigh-In: Week 16

So this week went fairly okay. The weekend, on the other hand, really jacked everything up.

This week's weigh in:  235.0

Difference:  +1.5

I was doing so great while I was out of town. I've discovered that Red Lobster is my friend when it comes eating out. You really can't go wrong with fish/seafood when you're trying to eat healthy. You do, however, have to be careful of the sauces it's cooked in and that you do vegetables for your sides.

When I travel, I'm also able to "grocery shop" off my food stipend. This way I can get some snacks and fruit for the room at night. I've also been getting Smart Ones microwave meals for my lunches (if I have the time to go to the hotel for lunch). This also saves me some money so I don't feel so bad eating seafood for dinner most nights. And it helps keep me below my daily food stipend.

I did get one work out in while I was out of town. However, that was it.

The weekend tanked thanks to a parade on Saturday and Disneyland on Sunday. Disneyland wasn't that bad, this time. But Saturday really got me...Starbucks sandwich for breakfast and Red Robin Gourmet Burger and fries for lunch.

This week I'm back home, which is so very nice. I do, however, wish we had some more food in the house. We're kind of running on slim pickings since I was out of town for two weeks straight. But I leave again Monday, so there's no point cause there's enough to get us through the week. It's just not stuff for  me. So I may find myself at the store tomorrow or Wednesday for some fruit and veggies to get me through.

And I need to focus on drinking more water. We finally got our Brita faucet installed (it didn't work the first time we tried, but Mr S fixed it, so it works now), so no more bottled water. And that's kind of nice.

And working out. That's another goal, as always. This is probably the hardest for me to do for some reason. Not really sure why, but it is. So my focus will be some sort of work out three days this week.

And there you have it. I know...I need to find some more motivational posters/pictures to liven this up some. That will be what I do next!

Have a great evening, y'all!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 15

Even though it's been only 15 weeks, I feel like this journey to knock off pounds is taking way too long.

This week's weight:  233.8

Difference from last week:  +.5

Total lost since Dec 31:  15.9

Last week's accomplishments:  two days of working out (while out of town!!) for 6 activity points!

Last week's not so great moments:
   * not keeping track of every thing I ate
   * three greasy Mexican meals (even though they were so good)
   * Sweet Tea (hey, I was in the South!)

This week's goals:
   * keep track of every bite
   * get some work outs in - even if it's just in my hotel room
   * healthy food choices

I'm on the road again this week, so I'm hoping I can keep up the work out momentum from last week...despite the lazy weekend I had!

Happy Monday!

Weekly Weign In - Week 14

I'm out of town this week, but wanted to make sure to update y'all on the status.

Weight:  133.3 (as of Sunday Morning).

I did my weigh in a day early because I left Sunday for my trip and I knew I wouldn't have access to the same scale I have at home.

And, since I'm gone this week, I'm keeping this post short.

My goals this week are:

1.  Healthy meal choices
2.  Some form of exercise

I didn't reach my small goal fo 20 pounds before this trip, thanks to the weekend of Wonder-Con and Legoland. But I did lose the weight I gained that weekend, and then some. So I'm ok with that.

This is journey. It's not going to happen in one day, despite my desire for it to do so. So I just need to sit back and enjoy the process of eating more healthy and adding healthy routines to my life.

Until later...

So What Wednesday

I'm linking up with the lovely Shannon for this week's

So What Wednesday

So What If:

* I didn't do my weekly weigh in post this week. I was off and in Legoland with Mr S and his extended family (he hasn't seen in over 5 years...I've, obviously, never met them). FYI...for those that follow my weekly weigh in....I gained. It's not pretty.

* The scale lied to me this week. When I did weigh in on Monday, it told me I'd only gained half a pound. But when I got on that biatch Tuesday, there was a 2 pound increase from Monday. I mean, I know I had a bad weekend (thank you WonderCon), but you could have told me Monday when I have "report" my weight.

* I'm planning my costume for next year's WonderCon. It won't be out there like some of the ones I saw this past weekend, but it will be super cute! Hoping for a trial run for Halloween.

* We still have clean clothes from last weekend to put away. It's starting to get annoying, but I doubt I'll get to them today.

* I'm starting to get a little house and baby crazy. I think it's because I know this is our last year in the apartment. And the fact that I celebrate the 5 year anniversary of my 29th birthday next month. I'm not getting any younger here.

* There is a serious lack of organization in my office again. It's a vicious cycle that I pretty much expect at this point.

* I'm not looking forward to being gone for almost two whole weeks. But I am kind of looking forward to being in Alabama a day or two (of the week I'll be there). I plan to hit the beach one or two days after work to check out the shell situation.

What are you saying So What to this week?

Weekly Weigh In - Week 12 (I Think)

Last week was HORRIBLE!!
But I guess we all have those weeks when we're trying to lose weight and make a change to our eating and exercising habits.

Today's weight, however:  234.5!!

I seriously have not idea how that happened. After the week I had, where I only worked out one day and when over my daily points at least two days in a row, I basically gave up on the weekend (cause those are the days that I, typically, don't pay close attention to my points anyway).

Maybe the work out with the hubby yesterday helped more than the homemade Alfredo sauce hurt.

No idea what happened, but I'm glad it did!

I head back to Alabama for a week of training in two weeks. My little goal is to be 5 pounds less by then (which should be interesting with being in Anaheim this weekend for Wonder-Con). But I am planning to work out more this week. I've even asked my husband to, gently, remind me that I need to do so...even if it's just dancing with the Xbox (something I haven't done in MONTHS!).

Weekly Goals:
1.  Back on track with tracking food/points.
2.  Activity points!! (I'm sure you've noticed a theme here)
3.  Shop for the weekend in Anaheim (snacks I can take with me that are low points so I don't waste my valuable points during the day).

Happy Monday, y'all. I'm gonna hunt down some coffee...

Weekly Weigh In - a day late

So yesterday's weigh in was a little rough.

235.9

I gained almost a pound and a half! Not happy!

But, on the flip side, I was kind of expecting it. My work out plans didn't happen. And I had two days where I was just so hungry that I really didn't care about points...I just ate. Even on those days, as I was eating, I could hear this voice in my head trying to warn me. I just refused to listen. So I paid the consequences with gaining a pound.

Even writing this I'm annoyed with myself. I've come a long way. 15 pounds may not seem like much to some of you. But for me, it's quite a bit. The most I've EVER lost was 20 and that was about 6 years ago. And last time I did weight watchers, I hoverd at the 10 pound mark before gaining back 5 and hovering again before stopping and gaining it back, plus some more. So 15 pounds is a big deal for me!

This week I'm out of town. Thankfully my hotel has a mini-fridge and a microwave. I can buy fruit and yogurt for snacks and some WW brand microwave meals for lunches. That way dinner can be my bigger meal, if needed. There is also a fitness center: Treadmill, eliptical, stationary bike, and bench for sit ups. It's not much, but it's more than some places have. I actually made use of it last night for about 20 minutes. It was actually kind of nice. Now if I can just carry that feeling with me when I head back home and use the center at the apartment complex!

So my goals for this week are the usual:
1.  Healthy choices for food while I'm out of town
2.  Activity points

Since I'm not at home on my computer, I have no nifty little encouragement picture for you. However, last night was the season finale of The Biggest Loser. While I'm not an avid watcher of the show, one contenstant caught my eye and I was cheering her on for the times I did watch: Danni Allen. Size wise, I kind of feel like I could relate to her. She went in weighing a little more than I did when I started this journey. And she reminds me a bit of me in build and coloring. Well, I'm happy to say, for those who don't watch or don't know, Danni won last night!!

*I am not endorsing the methods or views of the show. I realize that this an EXTREME case of weight loss because they are around doctors, nutritionists, and trainers the whole time they are at the ranch. This is not a realistic setting for everyone/anyone looking to lose weight.

* I am not looking to lose as much weight as she did either.

Proud of her!! And pround of the rest of the contestants who worked their butts off (literally) for the show!

And I'm pround of the rest of us who fight this fight on a daily basis with no trainer screaming in our ear. We can do this!!

Hugs...

Weekly Weigh In - Week 10

I passed another milestone this week: 15 pounds lost!

234.5 was the weigh in this morning.

To reach my March goal (20 pounds lost), I have three weeks to knock off the final 5 pounds. I can totally do this!

What I really need to do is step up the exercise, though. And that, for me, is the hardest part. I hate working out alone. And I get super bored on the treadmill, eliptical, and stationary bike. I've even taken my iPad and watched TV while using those to work out. Still nothing but boredom.

It may be time to break out the Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred again. That woman is a beast and the work out KILLS. But it's an amazing work out. And I NEED to do something besides just watching what I eat.

I do, however, feel like the weight is coming off, finally. My dress pants aren't as tight when they're first out of the dryer. Same with my jeans. Which is so nice! I'm not going to buy any new clothes until I have to, though. Money isn't really there, for starters, and if I'm going to keep losing there is no point in buying every time something gets loose. Besides, I actually have 3 pairs of pants in the closet, along with about 8 work shirts (thanks to a double order by mistake...theirs, not mine) that I can't wear right now but should be able to when I reach that 20 pound mark. So I'm really okay on the clothes front until I get more along the 40-50 pounds lost (which is my ultimate goal).

For those who don't know my full details, I'll fill you in. I'm 5'8" and started this journey weighing almost 250 pounds. That is 95 pounds more than when I graduated high school in 1997. The funny thing is I thought I was fat then, too! I really wasn't, though. I was the average weight for my height and bone structure. I just wasn't fit. When I started to work out in Junior College, I never lost weight, but I toned my muscle and looked more healthy than flabby. I loved it!! But somewhere over the years of living on my own and not really caring, I gained 95 pounds. Admittedly, I gained the last 25 in the last two years.

My goal is not to be the 155 pound girl from High School again. I don't think that would be a healthy look for me anymore. My ultimate goal is 175, which is 75 pounds less from when I started this journey. But I have little "big" goals along the way. The first is 20 pounds. And I'm so close I can feel my motivation kicking back in. Next will be the "I weigh 200 pounds" mark. After all, that's what my driver's license says! That would be the weight I was when I moved and when I met my husband. From there my final goal will be that last 25 pounds. I honestly believe I can do that before the end of the year.

So my goals for this week are:
1.  Activity!! I believe I'm at the point where just eating my daily points isn't going to really help anymore. I need to get active. Either in the work out room here at the complex, or by using a video/game in the apartment. But I need to focus on getting about 30 minutes of work out in 3 or more times this week.
2.  Develop a plan for next week. I'm on the road again next week. This time, though, I'll be way out of town...Sacramento area. So I need to figure out where I can and can't eat. And make sure my hotel has a fridge so I can shop for food to eat at the hotel!

Thanks for hanging in there with me. I know it's not the most exciting of topics, but putting this out there is more for me than you. Sorry, but you had to know that. This is my way of keeping track of what I'm doing. And if it helps someone else out there along the way, well, that's pretty fantastic too!

Happy Monday, y'all!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 9

It was bound to happen. Thankfully there wasn't much.

236.1

Yeah...I'm talking about that 0.1. I know, it's only an ounce. And I know what I ate last week (especially yesterday's Banana Split). But I also know how much walking I got in yesterday, Friday, Thursday. I guess it just wasn't quite enough.

On the flip side - it was enough to keep me from gaining more than an ounce. So something went right somewhere!

I'm out and about this week. Thankfully I'm home every night, so no eating out for every meal. I just need to figure out what the week is going to hold for regular meals. I didn't do a very good job meal planning for this week.

My goal for March is to knock off those six pounds. I'd really like to make it a 7 pound drop. That would put me at 20 pounds lost.

I got three pairs of capri pants today for cheap from an exchange I'm a part of in my town. They're a size 16. A little snug in the middle, which is my widest section, apart from my boobs. But they are my goal for March as well. I have an ab work out I'm going to get back to doing and work on getting a flat tummy again. I had one...a long time ago...in a world far away (cue Star Wars intro). No, really, it was a world far away - when I lived in Alabama...which is a world far away from Sunny SoCal!

So my goals are:
1. Keep my dinners as close to points friendly as possible
2. Keep up the Activity Points
3. Drink more water!

Happy Monday!

Weekly Weigh in - Week 8

Some times I wonder if my scale is telling me the truth.

236.0 was my weight this morning. I lost 2.5 pounds this week. My total weight loss is now 13.7, which means I've met my first WW goal - 5% loss (or 12.5 pounds).

So I set a new goal today - 10 % (or 25 pounds lost). I'm half way there, so I can do this!!

So why do I wonder about the truth of it. Because yesterday I found a new restaurant that serves one of my favorites, as a true Southerner - Fried Catfish. But, when I put it in the points calculator, it didn't come up as much as thought it would. But then there was the Peach Cobbler that I had, and well, that made up for the lack of points from the catfish. I ate well over my allotted points for the day and used some of my extras.

And then there were a total of 3 Activity points for the week. THREE!!

And yet I still lost 2.5 pounds. I think, with the exception of the first week, that's my biggest weekly loss so far.

Don't get me wrong...I'm fine with that. I just wonder, sometimes, what is going on with my body that the loss is so weird when my food intake seems to not vary much (I save my extra weekly points for the weekends so I have a little more wiggle room as that's when we usually do most of our eating out since Mr S works M-F like me).

This week I'm on the road again. So if you've been following this weekly adventure, you know what my goals are:
1.  Healthy, smart choices for food.
2.  Activity points, as always.

Happy Monday, y'all!!
